CRYSTALS
While Moogle
kindly gives you option of feeding crystals to your plant, you
are not required to do so to get a healthy plant or good harvest.
If you choose not to feed a crystal, simply examine the plant
as normal. Yes, Moogle will say your plant "doesn'taru look
so good, kupo!" but he justaru trying to ruffle your feathers.
Eventaruly, Moogle will not let you feed crystal any more and
your plant will continue to grow as normal. The only bad part
about not feeding crystals is plant take longer to bloom.
If you do
decide to feed a crystal, you of course have eight different options:
- Fire Crystal
- Water Crystal
- Wind Crystal
- Earth Crystal
- Ice Crystal
- Dark Crystal
- Light Crystal
- Lightning
Crystal
While Pikko
notes down time, day, and moon phase for every-wevery stage, Pikko
thinks it is only important what day crystal is fed on. Someone
tell Pikko Full Moon harvestaru means 150% yield, but Pikko is
too impatientaru to wait for Full Moon every-wevery time. If you
wish to do this, it's fine. But make sure you know Moon cycle
because plant can die waiting too long for you to harvest!
The weekday
looks like this:
Lightsday
-> Darksday -> Firesday -> Earthsday -> Watersday
-> Windsday -> Iceday -> Lightningday
Elemental
strengths look like this:
Fire beats
Ice
Earth beats Lightning
Water beats Fire
Wind beats Earth
Ice beats Wind
Lightning beats Water
Pikko believes
that all days of the week except for Lightsday and Darksday have
two types of crystals good for feeding to affect yield. You want
crystal to be strong on the day that you feed it to plant so for
example if you want to feed a Fire Crystal to plant, it is probably
best to do this on either Firesday or Iceday. Feeding Earth Crystals
is probably best on Earthsday or Lightningday. And so on. Since
Light and Dark have their own private beef, it best to feed Light
on Lightsday and Dark on Darksday?? Pikko doesn'taru know!
To confuse
even more, it notaru good to make crystal too strong when planting
tree cuttings. For some silly-willy reason planting too strong
for these plantarus seems to increase chance for crystals, something
you certainly-wertainly not wanting with expensive items as those!
And again, even more more confusing, tree saplings need very-wery
strong elemental powers to grow ores.
To feed a
crystal to your plant, the crystal must be stored in your Mog
Safe, as always. Select option Feed Crystal and choose from the
types of crystals you have stored. Once you pick one Moogle will
tuck it snugly into your pot!
Grain, herb,
and vegetable seeds will only accept one crystal. You have option
of feeding fruit seeds, tree cuttings, tree saplings, and cactus
stems up to two crystals. And no, you feed them one at a time,
not both at once.
Continue your
examinations and have biggo fun watching your little-wittle plant
blossom! Moogle will keep you updated on its status. Soon it will
begin to bloom and your plant will look so nice and tall!
